Richard "Hitch" McCulloch
Working on the front range of Colorado since 1980, Hitch has 34 years of experience in managing the urban forest ecosystem. Graduating in 1989 from Colorado State University, obtaining his certified arborist certificate from the International Society of Arboriculture, Hitch brings both experience and education in arboriculture along northern Colorado’s front range. Licensed by the Department of Agriculture in six separate pest and weed categories you can be assured this skill set is not lost on your particular plant needs. One of the original tree huggers Hitch started in tree work when most of it was done by rope and saddle. Hitch loves trees and tree work and when ever possible he still tries to get on a job and show the boys how its done.
Michaelene McCulloch
Cofounder of Fort Collins Tree Care, Michaelene keeps all things right. From answering the phone to doing the books she is irreplaceable. Her voice has been answering the phone tirelessly for over 25 years. Guiding Hitch through office requirements, Michaelene makes sure calls, questions, and concerns are addressed in a timely manner, or else. Her green thumb has beautified many flower gardens throughout fort collins and she will always talk about roses and flowers.
Seth McCulloch
Born in the tree industry, Seth has been with Fort Collins Tree Care since birth. Starting as a seasonal worker, Seth has been full time with us for the past 5 years. During that time he also obtained an associate degree from Front Range Community College. His athletic abilities complement the demands of tree climbing. The combination of climbing skills and understanding of arboriculture practices ensure the quality of his tree work.
Seth recently completed the Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) program offered by the Tree Care Industry Association.
He also received his ISA Certifice Arborist Certificate recently.
Mike Nagel
Starting with Fort Collins Tree Care from the early age of 16, Mike has developed into a fine tree worker who takes pride in a job well done. Over the past 8 years, 5 of them full time, Mike has honed his skills as a tree spray technician and tree worker. Currently enrolled at Front Range Community College Mike is always striving to improve both at work and in life.
Austin Kissell
At the ripe young age of 19, Austin has been with us since a freshman at Poudre High. Austin excells at both equipment operation and vegetation management. His technical skills at these duties far exceed this age. Although he would rather be fishing or hunting he is always one of the first to work and has an excellent work ethic. There is hope for the younger generation.
Clay Sale
Graduating from college with a degree in history, Clay finds the dirt and wood a better fit for him at this time. Clay’s attention to detail makes him one of our best spray technicians. This attention to detail is reflected in his customer service and "get it right the first time" attitude. Clay also started at a young age for Fort Collins Tree Care, and we hope to have for many spray seasons more.
Jaycee Thoen
Our newest employee Jaycee has worked as a wildland firefighter for the Forest Service. These skills make him a natural for the tree care industry. Currently mastering the skill and art of tree climbing and pruning make him one of our most valuable employees.
Fernando Nova
A long time employee Fernando can do most anything from planting to stump grinding. Hard working and family dedication make Fernando a model employee that ensures our product quality.
Jennifer McCulloch
Another lifer at fort collins tree care, Jenni has been doing estimates for tree work for over 7 years. Working hard to gain a Masters Degree in teaching, she works in the Poudre R1 school system full time. Jenni shows up when the weather turns nice and can be found talking to customers about tree care needs, answering the phone in the office, or enjoying the day off with her beautiful daughter Autumn.
